The International Precious Metals Institute (IPMI) is the largest and most well known association focused on precious metals in the world. IPMI is an international association of producers, refiners, fabricators, scientists, users, financial institutions, merchants, private and public sector groups, and the general precious metals community formed to provide a forum for the exchange of information and technology. IPMI seeks and promotes the efficient and environmentally sound use, reuse, and recycling of precious metals from both primary and secondary sources. IPMI conducts educational meetings and courses and serves as a primary resource for information for the public, industry, and government agencies worldwide. IPMI recognizes excellence and achievement through awards to individuals and educational institutions.
One of our goals is to furnish timely technical, economic, environmental and educational information for the benefit of our members. In addition, IPMI provides the networking opportunities necessary for success in today's global marketplace. Events
IPMI Precious Metals Conference Our key event, the Technical Conference, is held each June. Members may attend presentations given by industry leaders on topics ranging from Emerging Technologies, Financial Management, Environmental Management, Recovery, Refining, Catalysis to Sampling and Analysis.
IPMI Seminars In addition to our Conference in June, IPMI also sponsors several seminars each year to address special topics of interest to members of the precious metals community. These seminars are a valuable tool, as members of the audience are encouraged to participate in open discussions with the speakers and other industry experts.
IPMI Awards The IPMI Awards Program pays tribute to individuals who have made a significant contribution in the field of precious metals. Additionally, the IPMI student grants awarded each year encourage young people to look to precious metals as a career choice and support vital educational and research programs. |
