Professor Bruce Lipshutz received his undergraduate degree in from the State University of New York at Binghamton and his Ph.d from Yale University. He did his postdoctoral work at Harvard. He has been a professor at University of California, Santa Barbara since 1979 and is currently Professor Above Scale.
The Jun-ichiro Tanaka Distinguished Achievement Award which is sponsored by the Tanaka Memorial Foundation, recognizes important career contributions to the advancement of the precious emtals industry, be it technical, economic or management.

Jin-Quan Yu was born and raised in a rather isolated mountain valley in Zhejiang Province (Southwest of Shanghai). He received his B.S. in Chemistry at East China Normal University, where he worked with Professor Li-Xin Dai and Professor Bi-Qi Wu as a visiting student at Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1987.

Marion Cameron-Gray has been President and CEO of Sipi Metals Corp. since 2007, where she has served in various executive functions since 1992. Sipi Metals is a 119-year-old private Chicago based firm, which manufactures brass and bronze alloys and recovers precious metals from industrial materials. Sipi also provides services in secure destruction of sensitive data-bearing electronic media. Sipi’s primary facility is in Chicago.
